Crumbling Barn Number 3 by maggiemae

Crumbling Barn Number 3

Off across the endless cornfields of South Dakota today and probably more 'CB's as we have called them. Its fun to spot them. But some barns are beautifully painted and better than the homes!
Another goodie fav!! Dilapidated old barns are a rarity in our area but believe me I would brake big time if I saw one.

I love American barns...it's the shape of them I love...that roof line is so impressive! The touches of red are a very pretty touch!

Boy would my Amish neighbors like to get their hands on this. They make kitchen cabinets and furniture out of old barn siding. Evidently there is a big market for it for English (all non-Amish) people.

Alot of these big barns are falling apart and it is amazing how many are still used!! We are close to Amish country here and still alot of newer barns around!!

Great barn- to view and in size. I think many of them were built when the upkeep was affordable. Not so much now.

Beautiful barn photo. It is always sad to see a crumbling barn.
