Across the rooftops from a moving train, I was lucky enough to grab this picture having been told to watch out for it! Its hard to believe this dates from 100BC! I must find out more...
so beautiful it looks like a painting! I remember hearing the story of the seige of Carcasonne when I was a child and thought it was a fictional place!
I cannot believe how amazing this is as an image, much less taken from a moving train. The layers are wonderful, and the contrast of rooflines with the castle and sky, awesome.
Oh I really want to go there, it's on our list for next time we're in France. Great shot though I love the light and that moody sky as well the beautiful castle.
I hate having to shoot photos from a moving vehicle but you got the buildings quite well. Too bad about the trees. But we've all had to deal with that. Yes, the buildings are amazing for being that old. They look like a Cinderella castle.
