These are the tiny flowers on a long stalk coming from the peppermint plant. I bought the plant thinking it would be good to go with new potatoes but it isn't. Now I just put some of the leaves into our breakfast smoothie.
I sell Doterra essential oils and they carry peppermint. It's wonderful for headaches, fevers and upset stomachs. My mom was complaining of a hot flash the other day but it went away once she rubbed some of it on her chest. I had no idea the plant looked like this. It's very pretty! I like your focus and dof.
I love peppermint tea! My daughter-in-law made regular mint tea by taking the leaves and putting them in a large pitcher and setting them on a sunny windowsill. I would imagine you could do the same with peppermint leaves. I think she used about a cup of the leaves for a gallon jug. What a pretty flower!
I usually buy peppermint essential oil and massage it onto my temples, the back of my neck or across my forehead. But I believe a mint tea will help too.
What a lovely shot, Maggie. I wouldn't even think peppermint came with such pretty flowers. Now that I see how pretty it is, I don't think I could take it apart. Although it is very nice to have some peppermint extract for migraines and headaches (of which I am low on).
