Seen from the train as we descended from the mountains. It was through a dirty window by the Driver's cab too!
The day finished with a delicious dinner in the big restaurant of the hotel with about 90 people there. I stood up as I wanted to acknowledge two people who went on the trip - a blind lady, her guide dog and her husband. Up and down and out of buses with high steps, trains with high steps, in and out of hotels and their restaurants. Inspiring, I thought!
They had run out of chairs in the dining room so John and I had to eat out in the hotel lounge and until we made a waitress get us cutlery, we ate with two teaspoons. I have decided this is a great way to eat food!
A great variety of landscape & you were beautifully high up! You were a real trouper standing up & making your speech. It takes some courage! I did it once at Anthony & Jo's second wedding in NZ. Everybody had welcomed them so much I felt I should say something! It went down well!
awesome landscape you captured here. you know, when i was much much much younger, i thought that eating with a teaspoon is a great way to lose weight, because you get tired of scooping the food with such a tiny implement that you give up after a few tries (about halfway) hahaha!
What an amazing landscape! you have done a magnificent job of capturing it given the difficulties! Sounds like a lovely evening and you are a fear to recognize the achievements of someone publicly!
