This is so beautiful & the many lovely memories of your sister will come flooding back to make you smile in the midst of this sadness.....hold them close to your heart......
I am so sorry to hear the news about your sister. Embrace the days ahead, fill them with memories of your years together and make some new, precious memories.
I love your image.
My little sister died in July. I am so thankful I was able to spend her last two weeks with her; advocating for her, encouraging her, but mostly sitting and holding her hand as she slept or rambled in the midst of her delusions. Through it all, her most lucid moments were when she realized I was there. All of those years of love winning against the disease.
Such a beautiful and thought provoking shot Maggie. You and your sister are in my thoughts. You must have so many wonderful memories to give you strength through the coming days. What @evalieutionspics says is is so appropriate and supportive.
@evalieutionspics What you say is what I have experienced. I think she knew who I was but there was nothing in her face. Just holding her hand was good.
I love your image.
