The Sunset of a life..

Thanks a million for all you nice people sending me such wonderful thoughts and wishes.

You could say that my sister, Joan is now at the sunset of her life. But a sunset can be beautiful just as a life has!

She has been moved into a hospice and we await the end... So very sad!

My little sister died in July. I am so thankful I was able to spend her last two weeks with her; advocating for her, encouraging her, but mostly sitting and holding her hand as she slept or rambled in the midst of her delusions. Through it all, her most lucid moments were when she realized I was there. All of those years of love winning against the disease.
