Hiding in the Middle

I find the tulip tree bloom hard to shoot - and they look good for such a short time. Their color is so pretty though. Caught this bud opening down low in the center of the tree.
True and if a storm or hard rain comes through they seem demolished. Good shot of the bud opening.

Very nice. Subtle yet stands out. I took a picture of a similar flower last week. I thought it might be a pink variety of magnolia. I've never heard of a tulip tree befofe. Lovely.
