Maybe that's why I have trouble getting flowers to grow in the pots - they must be full of buried pecans and whatever else these guys bury. That is the dirtiest face I've spotted!
LOL I had the same problem but learned you can put wire mesh like a grid inserted into the pot while the plants are seeding and it will keep the squirrels from digging. You can leave them there the whole time if you want- the plants will just grow through it or, once the inch just above the wire but before they're too tall, you can take it off. I just left mine in. Anyway- it worked perfectly for me last summer. Cute shot of your little acorn culprit!
