A panorama of Crater Lake. Crater Lake is a glacial lake formed by the receding ice of the Wisconsin Glacier. It had a brief period of development as a vacation spot in the mid-1900's but is now protected land in the Delaware National Park Recreational Area. It was a great day for a walk there and we couldn't have asked for better weather.
@shutterbug49 This one is nowhere near the familiarity of the other- in fact the "locals" prefer it not be discovered as tourists to our area generally trash it. I don't think they have to worry much. The road we took to get here had potholes that Mini Coopers would fit in! It was quite the challenge to maneuver around them.
Thank you for your views, comments and favs! It is a beautiful area and we plan to go back in the fall to photograph the fall colors. Hopefully it will be a colorful year.
