It's supposed to be summer! In the last few days we have had thunder storms and teeming rain, the aftermath of cyclone Oswald.
Drove up to Birubi Beach this afternoon to see how rough the ocean was. For some reason the beach was closed to swimmers today! Sea foam was blowing across the beach and the wind was so strong I only just managed to hold the camera steady.
Cool shot- Such crazy weather has been going on world wide- I'm truthfully scared lol. I saw this Australian beach foam on the local news. It's a big deal in the USA as well.Thanks for capturing it personally (you can never trust American news lol)

Dorothea MacKellar knew a thing or two about Australian weather. We have gone from really hot weather to needing slippers and a jumper today. The wind was really cold. back tomorrow to the warmth. its hard to keep up with it all!!! Glad you didn't get blown away.
@joluise I had to fish out my jeans and fleecy top today too. It's freezing. My daughter Deb @gypsy6, lives in Melbourne and she had the heating on yesterday. The strange thing is tomorrow it could be 32 degrees!
@winnedreamer Either that or more stupid. Not quite as bad as the last time we went there though and you were brave that day! Only managed 5 minutes today though.
@gypsy6 Didn't have shorts and T shirts on here, jeans, fleecy top and waterproof jacket out at Birrubi today! Didn't roll in the foam like they did in Queensland either, ha ha! It was blowing about all over the place, it was amazing.
@onewing i just looked on google maps to see where you were (we are newbies to NSW after living in QLD for 15years) and it is crazy how different our photos were.. My photo would be different again tonight... The wind is howling here and its raining again... Lol.. Xx
The weather has been crazy. I only live about 30 minutes away from where all that amazing amount of foam was on the Sunshine Coast which ended up being toxic!! I know a few people who have ended up getting a rash from it and sore eyes :-/ It was wild there for a bit!! Glad to hear you are OK :-)
@turning_40 Thanks Janelle. We don't usually get the severe weather that you get. Just the tail end of it! Good to know the foam can be toxic though. It was too cold here to be rolling around in it though!!
@onewing glad to hear that Babs its going to change weather wise here in the uk today lol nothing new its a bit of a blue sky then we are due for sleety stuff as they said on the Weather.
