Today is the 27 July and I am now, hopefully, able to fill in some of the gaps from February.
On the 3 Feb my daughter Zoe tragically died. It has been a difficult year, but 365 has helped me enormously to keep focused on life. The support I have received from 365'ers has been fantastic and I would like to thank you all.
As I wanted to complete an entire year without any gaps I am now putting fillers in for the missing 5 days.
Todays photo is of my daughter Zoe, son Damien and partner Jason, taken in happier times. This is quite an emotional day for me, but I have to fill in the gaps. I hope Zoe will like this photo wherever she may be.
The rest of the filler photos I am putting in are going to be abstract photos, so don't relate to any specific time.
@onewing i am very sorry for your loss... I cant imagine lossing any of my children... Ive struggled the last 18 months to recover from my best friends sudden passing and the project has helped... Sending you a cyber hug.. Thanks for sharing this very precious photo xxx
I can relate. My adult son, Sean died December 10, last year both suddenly and tragically! A friend suggested 365 to help through the difficult times. I never would have guessed how healing, engaging and enlightening it has been for me. Maybe now I will put up my bio. Thank you for sharing both the photo and the story. More cyber hugs!!!
I am sorry to hear your stories and admire your courage to revisit those sad days. I sincerely hope that 365 project healed your pain and I believe that your daughter would love you putting this photo for remembrance.
@mrsbaldy Thanks so much for your kind words. I agree with you that 365 has helped. We just have to go out each day and take a photo of something nice because those who we have lost can't do that any more. We can be their eyes. Thanks so much for the hug.
@sunraye Oh Raye, so sorry to hear of the passing of your son Sean. My daughter Deb and I started a 365 project on the 1 January and after Zoe died we decided to keep going with it however difficult. It has been difficult at times but 365 really helped and this is such a wonderful community. Thank you so much for sharing your story too. Hope mine has helped your healing. All we can do is carry on and look for something good in the world and take a photo of it. There is so much goodness out there. Take care. My thoughts are with you.
Jason is Zoe's partner and Damien is Zoe's son. Zoe was 36 when she died, no age really is it!!!
@joluise Thanks so much Jo. I finally felt able to fill in the 5 day gap, but it was a bit emotional. Hope Zoe will be pleased with the photo of her, her son and partner.
@yaorenliu Thank you so much for your lovely words. It was hard to revisit, but I wanted to fill in the gap. I too hope that Zoe will be pleased with this photo of her, her son Damien and partner Jason. 365 has helped enormously in the healing process.
@joeyc Thanks so much Joey. @sbolden Thank you Scott. I have felt enormous support from everyone who follows me on 365 and I thank you so much for your support too. @derekvickers Thank you so much Derek. I hope it is a fitting tribute to Zoe. 365 has been a huge help in the healing process.
I think I need a cup of tea now!!!
Thank you for sharing your story with us! I am so sorry for your loss! I hope maybe as time goes on IF you should happen to need to use a fill for a day that maybe you could share another one of these beautiful photos again... she is absolutely lovely!!
@lafish Thanks Laurie, I am sure I will put another photo of Zoe on here sometime. I was going to on her birthday in March, but couldn't bring myself to do that at the time. I just put a red rose on for that day because she loved roses.
