When I was a child my Mum had a grocers shop. Outside the shop was a bubble gum machine and a gob stopper machine. You had to put a penny in the slot and out came your reward. This appears to be the modern day equivalent of those machines. I did notice over the years that gob stoppers appeared to shrink in size, but now looking at these they have been restored to their former glory.
