Illawarra Fly by onewing

Illawarra Fly

On our travels today we went to the Illawarra Fly which is an elevated walkway in the rainforest treetops on the edge of the Illawarra escarpment.

From the top of the tower you have a view across Lake Illawarra to Wollongong and the coast to Sydney
very nice composition

That's new since I lived down in that area. What a climb to the top.

We will have to visit, since the grandchildren live in Dapto.

@winnedreamer @joluise @bugsy I think it was constructed about 5 years ago. Nice place to visit.

@davidgnc @gamelee Perhaps you should both get together and come out here for a visit. This time of year is beautiful. A bit like Goldilocks' porridge, not too hot and not too cold.

@brennan1983 Thanks Brennan. Not much scope on perspective. Step any further back and you drop off!

Lovely capture, but I probably wouldn't go up that tower - no head for heights!

@rhos Thanks Ann. the walkways themselves are quite high too and they have a lot of movement on them. Worth the climb though the view is brilliant.
