Today started off a bit of a grey day and then at lunch time it started raining and hasn't stopped since. So out have come the waterproof's and umbrella's.
It has now rained three days in the last week which is good as it will damp down the bushland and lessen the risk of fires in the coming months.
I should probably have said "what is it" as the caption for this photo, but I think it is fairly obvious.
Started raining here this afternoon too Babs and hasn't stopped yet! There was a big downpour a couple of nights ago but I didn't hear it. I got my umbrella out today too!
@tesssa Up until a few days ago we had only had two days of rain since the beginning of July, so it has been very dry here, hence our many bush fires so early. We are thankful for the rain, but I am sure that after a few days I will be fed up of it!!!
Love the POV!!!! Cool shot! Glad the rains have come for you. Once our start (November) they don't quit until about June. We had an very unusually dry spring and summer. We will head south in November to enjoy so winter sunshine in Arizona and Nevada...and perhaps California.
@joluise@joluise@elaine55@eyesmile@humphreyhippo@joeyc Seems to have been raining in most places yesterday. It has stopped here now though and the sun is shining again. Our rain catcher has recorded 15 mm rain yesterday. That should damp down the ground for a while.
@christinehosey Thanks Christine. I think I did my first umbrella shot back in January and then did a couple if April, but it hasn't rained much since then, so thought I would try another one now before the summer comes along. Sun shining again today.
@lafish@derekvickers@ginnykoppenhol@angelar Sorry I missed these comments, been so busy lately. Thank you so much for your lovely comments. We had 3 days of rain and now it is sunny again. I think it is going to be a hot dry summer here. Fingers crossed not too many bush fires.
