Farewell to Anita by onewing

Farewell to Anita

I am a day behind at the moment, but hopefully will catch up again soon.

This is a collection of photos I took yesterday driving Anita to Sydney airport for her flight to Western Australia.

The first photo is on the freeway where we saw storm clouds, then the storm caught up with us. By the time we arrived in Sydney, the weather had brightened up. The third photo is of the plane Anita went on to Perth. The fourth is of her boarding the plane. (She is at the bottom of the steps). The final two are of our journey home, first over Sydney Harbour Bridge and the next in the tunnel. 450 km round trip.

I got a text message off Anita today and she has taken the rain with her. Apparently it hasn't rained in Perth for weeks!
Fab collage of your trip Babs, lovely weather today after all that rain we have had. This time next week I will be up in the air somewhere. I am hoping it won't be too cold. Lets face it 450km is "nothing" here in Oz! lol

@heidihp Thanks Heidi. I would love to catch up again next Christmas, but I hope Anita will come back here. Don't think I could cope with Christmas in winter in the UK..

@zenna Thanks so much Gayanne. I took another one as we were driving under the bridge too, but thought this one was better.

@goosemanning Thanks Sharon. We do the trip to Sydney and back quite often in one day. When David was in the RAAF he used to do the trip from Newcastle to Melbourne (1100 km) in one day once a month for 2 years.

Are you kidding! In the UK they all moan about anything more than a couple of hours! Ha ha!

Fantastic collage Babs, it was lovely to see and meet Anita, and share fish and chips with her, and a nice meal at Fingal Surf Club. Now you can breathe!!
November 26th, 2013
@goosemanning I remember. The trip from Newcastle to Melbourne took about 11 hours and of course he then had the return journey too a week later.

@steampowered Thanks Paul. We had a brilliant time together. I do need a holiday after Anita's holiday I reckon. I will get a holiday at Christmas though, so not long now. It is hard work relaxing isn't it!!
