A bit late posting this photo from yesterday's rodeo, but by the time we got home and had a shower to scrape off all the dust, it got a bit late to download my photos.
Trying to get a photo of the contestants still on the bull was no easy task. They only had to stay on for 8 seconds, but only one person got close to that.
You can see the dust in this picture, so you can imagine what we looked like when we got home and we weren't even rolling in it.
@yaorenliu@golftragic@tracelee@cljs@scarybird@hermann@888rachel@jennyheath I have had such a busy week this week that I haven't had much time to catch up with photos. Hopefully next week will be a bit quieter.
I agree with you all must be mad to do this. They even had an over 50's contest!! Seriously mad to do this at that age.
We came home caked in dust, not so much from this type of contest, but the barrel racing certainly stirred up huge amounts of dust, we were nearly eating the stuff. It was an interesting day though.
@angelar@gamelee Thank you both so much. We were caked in dust by the time we got home! Not too many contestants stayed on the bulls for the required 8 seconds.
@lafish Thanks laurie. Wasn;t easy getting a shot of this as for one thing they were only on the bulls for about 2 seconds at the most and also there were lots of people in the way too. Plus of course, all that dust!!!
@debilz@kathiecb Thanks. All the bulls were sending a message, perhaps it was too hot and they were particularly grumpy, but none of the riders lasted very long.
