I have lived in Australia for an awfully long time and I still can't get used to Easter being in Autumn.
Having said that today was a beautiful sunny day and amongst other things we went to the market at Nelson Bay. Of course, David managed to find things that he couldn't live without.
There is still not much sign of autumn here at the moment, but I am sure it will catch up with us soon.
Hope everyone has had a Happy Easter and not eaten too many Easter eggs.
Haha, one day you'll get used to it! Having lived in Australia my whole life it seems strange to have Easter any other time than autumn! Great shot of the markets! :)
A perfectly gorgeous market......the true outdoor market Babs. I must be very stupid but found myself being surprised you live in Australia when it says plainly on your info . I had it in my head you lived in the USA......sorry I get confused at my age!!
Have had a great Easter and haven't eaten too many eggs yet! Have eaten far too much of everything else though! Your Autumn does look pretty much like our summer.
@lilminimonka I don't think I will ever get used to Easter being in autumn. I know that April is Autumn and it always catches me out when I see Easter eggs in the shops in Autumn. ha ha.
Christmas in summer was never a problem, I got used to that straight away. Doing Christmas shopping in shorts and tee shirts instead of being rugged up in coats and scarves is much more civilized. Only been been here 25 years though so I don't think it is going to sink in now ha ha.
@paulaw Thanks Paula. I was very good and only had a couple of very small Easter eggs. They forced a box of Favourites chocolates on me in the supermarket though as they were half price, but that's another story ha ha.
@888rachel Same here. Usually it pours at Easter and because we live by a tourist area I always feel sorry for the tourists, but this Easter it has been beautiful. Unfortunately we had to go to Raymond Terrace today and got caught up in the traffic of the Sydneysiders on their way home. Never seen it so busy.
