After the grey miserable day yesterday, today has been beautiful with glorious sunshine, which was really lucky because we have been out with our walking group today in Newcastle. We drove to Stockton and took the ferry from Stockton to Newcastle. After a leisurely walk around the west end of Newcastle we went for lunch at a bistro on the wharf.
Today’s picture is of the Customs House located on Newcastle’s Harbour Foreshore. It was designed in the Italianate Renaissance Revival Style by New South Wales Colonial Architect James Barnet in 1877, with a wing added in matching materials in 1899.
I am a bit late posting tonight because when we got home from our walk late this afternoon I had my grocery shopping to do and then this evening I had an appointment to have my hair cut.
I will not be able to reply individually to all your lovely comments on my photos yesterday but just want to say thank you so much for dropping by. I really want to catch up on your photos for a little while this evening. I think I will be in bed early tonight though, as it has been a long day.

Usually when we go out with our walking group I am the one at the back because I stop to take photos, but on this stretch of the walk I was in front for some reason. I think it was because we were in the city everyone was so spread out stopping to look at buildings. Usually we are on coastal paths or in the bush and it is easier to keep everyone together. This day though the poor lady who was one of the organizers really had her work cut out trying to keep everyone together. It was a bit like herding cats! ha ha.
