I thought this picture taken at the Inner Light Lighthouse in Nelson Bay would be ideal for the light and shadows black and white theme.
Don’t let the sunshine in this picture fool you, it is sunny but freezing here today. Somebody has flicked the winter switch and we have suddenly gone from almost springlike weather back to winter again.
I am posting a bit earlier today because we are going out tonight. It is my birthday on Monday, but as a lot of the restaurants here are closed on Monday’s during winter, I am celebrating a bit earlier.
Great b/w image and ticks the boxes for light and shadows !!The trouble with b/w you can not gauge the temperature of the day -- as you say -"don't be fooled " !!
Ah, I agree with you on that Babs! What happened to the lovely temperatures? Now we're being bashed by the cold again! A wonderful shot for the theme though, just lovely! x

Yes Paula and Peter it is pretty chilly here at the moment. I know it is winter, but at 7am it was 4 degrees, we reached the dizzy height of 13 degrees today, For you tough Brits that may not be Arctic weather but for us softies in Australia it is too cold. Brianna, Sam and Ilona all agree that it is freeeeeeezing. The last few days have been in the 20s and today somebody has flicked the winter switch again.
Okay Angela no need to rub it in, hot and sunny in Cheshire, that has really cheered me up. ha ha.

@april16@golftragic@kathiecb Thanks so much. It is a Bank holiday in NSW on Monday too Kathy, don't know what it is in aid of. In Queensland it is Picnic Day whatever that is, but here it just says Bank Holiday, probably just a day for the banks to count their money.
I'm so glad I stopped or I would have missed the chance to say a very happy belated birthday to you Babs! I always tell Greg that I really think it should be birthday week! Great shot btw, love the strong shadows.
