Yesterday I posted a photo of jacaranda trees and they are my favourite trees. Today here is my second favourite tree the Illawarra flame tree.
I love to see jacaranda's and flame trees together and I must look around to see if I can get a photo of them both in one photo before the flowers disappear.
Thanks to everyone who commented on my pictures yesterday. I am in a bit of a rush again today and tonight we are out for dinner as it is our wedding anniversary.
Lovely shot Babs. I love the Illawarra Flame Tree also. There was a beauty out at Brookfield and I kept putting off getting a pic of it and now its too late as ours are mostly past their prime.
I don't think I've ever seen one of these before. Really beautiful. After all those years living in flat places with no trees I need trees and mountains now!
I love them too! Here we see the poinciana and jacaranda together, they also look really pretty together... Then throw in a yellow frangipani... Beautiful. This one is particularly lovely. Enjoy your night and congratulations.
@ceilidh Sorry Margaret, just realized you asked a question. Not sure they would grow in the UK. This particular species grows on the east coast of New South Wales. the Illawarra is a region just south of Sydney in NSW. They tend to be sub tropical trees and I don't ever remember the UK being sub tropical haha.
The fallen petals make it look like it's bleeding!
Thanks so much to all of you. so sorry for the group reply again, but we have been out all day with our walking group and now I am getting ready to go out to our trivia night at The Tavern. I am racing about so much today I am nearly meeting myself coming back, ha ha.
I will try and find a jacaranda and a flame tree together, you have set me a challenge now.
Yes Rachel the flowers are the ones your posted a few days ago. Aren't they beautiful.
Thank you all too for your lovely anniversary wishes. We had a lovely evening out and then out again for lunch today too. Don't think I am going to eat again for a week, ha ha. Will catch up on your photos tomorrow.
