Sand Sculptures

I am posting early today because we have got a busy day ahead. Off out with the grandchildren today and this evening we will be loading up the car as we will be setting off early tomorrow morning on our journey home.

I took this photo, along with lots of others, at Frankston, Victoria. For four months each year Frankston waterfront is transformed as over 3,500 tonnes of sand is carved into spectacular sculptures. Each year there is a different theme and this year the theme is Friends, Foes and Super Heroes as the sculpture above shows. Disney, Pixar, Marvel and Star Wars characters come to life in large scale sand sculptures.

I will show some more of the sculptures here on 365 when I get home and have chance to process the photos.

Thanks to everyone who have been commentiong on my photos over the last 2 weeks and sorry I haven't had chance to reply to most of the comments or your photos. Been so busy, but have had a lovely time on our travels.
