Queenscliff, Victoria, architecture

I have had a bit of a lazy day today, felt pretty tired so not achieved very much. Here is another filler from our recent trip to Melbourne.

These four properties are at Queenscliff which is a small town on the Bellarine Peninsula in southern Victoria, Australia, at the entrance to Port Phillip.

European explorers first arrived in 1802. Permanent settlement began in 1836 when squatters arrived in the area known as Whale Head.

Originally a fishing village, Queenscliff soon became an important cargo port, servicing steamships trading in Port Philip.

Queenscliff is a former 1880s seaside resort now known for its Victorian era heritage and tourist industry.
Magnificent architecture. Such stately looking properties.

What a glorious collage. I can't believe the amount of unused space around these buildings - it's not something you see a lot of in England!

@pcoulson Thanks Peter, the top left was indeed up for auction. https://www.abercrombys.com.au/queenscliff-queenscliff-hotel-16-gellibrand-street-ab2974/
It was originally the Queenscliff Hotel and is now a private home. I believe the estimate was between $3 and $4 million dollars, but what it sold for I don't know. I would love any one of these homes and Queenscliff is a lovely place. Victoria is a bit chilly in winter though.
