How many aerials can you fit on a tower

Another very grey wet day here today, so here is another photo taken from the Gan Gan Lookout.

These are the communication towers on the top of Gan Gan.

The shortest of these towers has an osprey nest on the top of it. The pair of ospreys have been nesting here for a few years. At the moment they are not at home, but no doubt will return again.

The nest was rather battered and beaten during a storm here a few weeks ago, so will need a bit of renovation before they pair of birds can make this their home again.
Sam
They are so ugly aren't they! Obviously the birds that nest here think it must be quite an attractive for them :)

What else can they add ?

I guess they are a necessity, nice pov Babs :)

@gigiflower @gilbertwood @hermann They are necessary. Apart from the telephone and television transmitters I think there are also police, fire, ambulance and possibly taxis plus others. I am sure somebody can help me out with others that are shown here.

like Sally I guess they are a necessity...Quite an eyesore, I am pleased the Ospreys make use of them..

The downside of modern technology. However we'd soon shout if these connections weren't there!!

Not a pretty sight but like most things will eventually become the norm and not be seen. At least they provide nesting for the Ospreys.

I hope the ospreys will be back soon to renovate :)

Great POV of those Aerial, hope you didn't pull any plugs out to ruin my TV tonight.

Very busy towers! I hope that the ospreys return!

Technology gone mad, ( or big brother listening in )
November 4th, 2015
They are necessary. Maybe one day they will design a good looking one.
November 4th, 2015
Did you get any mobile reception up there?
November 4th, 2015
Frightening g how much construction work is needed to keep us all going these days.....Ospreys will be glad of all this modern technology anyway!
November 4th, 2015
They do look ugly, but guess they are needed. Lucky ospreys.

Oops.... i accidently unfollowed you. So i just had to hit the follow button again.
Sorry😊

We need them and I agree that they are not pleasant to the eye... lol

Nice shot.

Nice capture and love the story about the Ospreys. Do they mate for life?

Great lines and pov

@happysnaps @thistle @shirleybankfarm @merrelyn @mittens @seattlite @ladymagpie @salza @mbmomentsintime @karlow75 @happypat @jennywren @deborah63 @pippie @leestevo @loweygrace Yes, I agree with Kane they are necessary and we all need the emergency services and all use mobile phones and wireless internet, plus we all watch television too, so this is essential stuff. I hope the ospreys are back too, will let you know.

@eyesmile Thanks Gena. Yes I believe ospreys mate for life. This pair have been here for a few years.

@terryliv Strangely enough I did get good reception up there, ha ha. Unfortunately, we are a bit limited where I live for mobile phone reception. Not far from Gan Gan but our house is in a dip just in amongst a clump of trees and mobile reception is limited to one part of our house.

If they are providing a home for the birds then thats a good use too

Cool towers and nice to think about the ospreys having a home. On Beaver Island, we have a pair that's been returning every summer, and they hang out and nest at the top of a similar (but not as filled) tower.

Love the shot! ( and the colours)
