Friday people day again and as I have been taking photos from Maitland this week I thought I would carry on with that theme and post this one taken at the Maitland Multicultural Festival a few weeks ago.
This girl allowed me to take a photo of her henna tattoo and told me that it says "courage" in Arabic.
Thanks to everyone who commented on my photos the last couple of days. Sorry I have been absent, but had a busy week with medical appointments and will hopefully catch up over the weekend.
Such a gorgeous shot of this beautiful girl , lovely colourful dress against her ebony skin and lovely capture of her tattoo .Hope all your medical appointments are proving fruitful -take care
Lovely shot of a proud and beautiful woman.
A number of years ago, my son got a large henna tattoo on his back during a trip to Bali. He did it as a gee up since he knew how much I hate tattoos and knowing that I wouldn't know the difference. Of course when he proudly displayed the tatoo, I had an apoplexy and he had a good laugh at my expense. However, the laugh was on him in the end since after a day or two, his skin reacted to the henna and he developed big angry red welts where the henna was applied. I laughed, he was not amused.
Beautiful portrait using natural light to bring out all that colour and detail, great image Babs you certainly know how to get best out of Friday people portrait's:)
I smiled when I saw this. It's a great capture of her expression. I've been reading a book of portraits and how they should display something of a person's character - you achieve this well.
how are you?
