Skink by onewing

Skink

I'm not feeling too good today, got a flare up of diverticulitis and it is quite painful. Hopefully should be better in a couple of days when the antibiotics kick in.

As I seem to be taking photos of crabs, worms, birds etc at the moment I thought this photo of a skink would fit in quite well.

He was sitting sunning himself and didn't seem too bothered that I was taking photos of him.

This one is about 20 cm long.

Thanks to everyone who commented on my soldier crabs yesterday. I may not get to reply to anyone this evening. I am off to be early.
Great shot.. they usually move pretty quick..

I am feeling slightly better today. After a very painful and restless night, my temperature has gone back to normal again and I am improving slowly.
Sorry to hear about your neighbour Heather, hope she is ok. I've not had a flare up as bad as this for a long time. Hopefully it will be ok by Tuesday as 42 of us are off on a cruise to New Zealand. All cross your fingers please. The amount of tablets I am taking you will hear me rattling on the ship.

@onewing lucky you. You must get well fast. I have been on two cruises to New Zealand and loved every minute of them. I think I could manage one every year (if I won the lottery!)

Hope you're feeling better now, I saw skinks when we were in Oz. I'd forgotten all about them. Thanks for the memory!

Love the detail in this. I only ever see them scurrying away here, never a chance to capture (even when the cat has brought inside!).
