Posting a bit late tonight, we have been out ski-ing today. Skiing in summer in Australia you may ask. We not that kind of skiing, we have been Spending the Kids Inheritance.
I wasn't sure how to interpret this line of Jimmy Cliff's song as I didn't want to put a sad face on here and when I saw these smiley bees in the craft shop I thought they would do nicely.
Another creative image to fit the song Babs works for me, Every time we went on long haul holiday told our kids it was the inheritance money, you can't take it with you its yours just spend it before the tax man and kids get their hands on it like us:)
We like the SKI idea too, and I think all our children are better off than us anyway! We are over to Aus and NZ at the end of January, that should take care of a chunk of it! Love those smiley bees Babs, no way to be sad with them around!
@beachdog@cruiser@quietpurplehaze@kwind Thanks. Having a great time skiing. So far we have bought a new lounge suite and a new bed. We are also looking at new carpets in the lounge room and our bedroom and replacing the carpet in the dining room with wood flooring Then after that we are putting plantation shutters in the lounge room, dining room and main bedroom. That's just for starters. ha ha
@eyesmile Thanks Gena. Here is the link to the song, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MrHxhQPOO2c
Hope you can sing along.
I have really enjoyed thinking up photos for this theme. It is going to be my mantra for this year after three years of a certain amount of sadness.
hahaha great interpretation - my mum had a sign on her fridge saying something about spending the kids inheritance - my sister and I would say go for it! Mum died around 12 years ago now - way to young - but she had fun SKI-ing. Her best friend tucked her money away - she didn't do any SKI-ing and is now sick in a nursing home and what use is it - such a shame
