Last week Martina @cherrymartina posted a photo of her favourite beach and how many steps it was to walk there and that gave me the idea for this photo.
David and I set off from our house silently counting each of our paces to our closest beach and he clocked up 490 and I walked 500. He has bigger strides than I have.
This is our closest beach. As you can see, not too many people know about it and we like to keep it that way. It never gets crowded, even in summer, because we are outside the tourist area.
Great beach Babs, so different from ours.Ours is stone, yours is sand...And we are so far away
I know what it means to have a beach that is not crowded, and so close... Fav for your beach
@happypat Thanks Pat and no we don't sit on the beach. Only the tourists sit on beaches here. I walk along our lovely beaches most days though, but don't have the patience, or time to sit. ha ha.
lovely photo of a beautiful quiet beach. You are lucky to have it so close. We have some beautiful quiet beaches here in Adelaide too and we are fortunate that they are only about 20 minutes away by car.
Oh how lovely to have a quiet beach so nearby. I love walking on the beach - my dogs love it too. I was born and brought up on the coast and I go home to visit family every month or so. I love the idea of counting footsteps to get there! I am going to steal this idea and do it next time too. :)

So nice to be close to the beach, you must get beautiful sunrises and sunsets!
It is a lovely beach and we are lucky that we can keep it quiet as we live outside the tourist area.
