Street Art 2

Following on from yesterdays photo, I thought I would put another street art collage together while I had the file open where my street art photos are.

The Aboriginal boy is my absolute favourite piece of street art in Newcastle, it was created by street artist Adnate who is a Melbourne based artist. It was picked as the favourite from the Hit the Bricks Festival street art exhibits.

My next favourite is the centre bottom photo which is at Wickham in Newcastle. He really looks as though he is reaching out from the picture.

Newcastle is full of beautiful street art just like this and all of the artworks are commissioned. They have festivals where artists are allocated a wall to create an image on. Luckily we don't have much tagging and awful graffiti to contend with. I don't think they can compete with art like this.
