Sorry I have been absent for the last couple of days, but we were out for dinner last night and photo club and today I have been out for our regular 'girlie lunch'.
Also this morning my computer decided to do updates on Windows 10 and it resulted in 6 GB of updates, so I was unable to access 365 this morning. I hate Windows 10!
When I got home this afternoon I discovered that everything on my computer had moved due to the updates, so this evening we went for a walk on the beach to clear our heads.
On returning home I downloaded my photos and lo and behold could I hell as like find them. Managed to locate them after lots of cursing and swearing. I have now got to reorganize my photos due to damned Microsoft and its 'improvements'.
At least it was nice and peaceful walking on the beach.
I will try and catch up later this evening, but can't guarantee. I think I will have a relaxing evening and have a nice soak in a bath to de-stress.
We are out tomorrow too with the walking group, so will catch up when I can.
Lovely light and colours, Babs. When I upgraded to Windows 10, I chose not to swap my photos over, because my daughter had dramas finding her photos. So far it's worked for me :)
@johnston1364 Thanks Rob. My files are more or less okay and I have my photos in document files not in my pictures, but windows changed where I imported my photos to and I had to find that. Windows 10 has also added lots of things I really don't need and used up a lot of our Internet allowance for the month in the process too.
Simply fabulous capture - favd. Love the colours and peaceful feeling.
Yet another example of why I simply refuse to upgrade to Windows 10! Good luck in sorting out your computer!
@leggzy Thanks Leggzy (sorry I don't know your proper name, or maybe it is Leggzy) I loved Windows 7 and it didn't have silly things on it. Windows 10 has gone very Fisher Price and kiddy. My files are all more or less in the right place, but when importing my photos yesterday it put them in the silliest place and I had trouble finding them. I think I have sorted it this morning though.
More or less sorted out the updates on Windows 10 now, but very frustrating that it changes things. I have all my photos in document files as I do everything else, so they were still in the right place, but it decided to change the import place when I tried to download my photos yesterday. Had a hell of a job finding where they were. Fingers crossed sorted now though. I just hate all the extra things that 10 tries to put on your computer that you really don't need and the updates use vast amounts of your monthly Internet allowance in the process too.
@merrelyn Thanks Merrelyn. All my photos are in document files so I have no trouble finding them, but 10 decided to change the place it imported my photos I downloaded yesterday and I had a frustrating time finding them. Fingers crossed I have it more or less sorted this morning though. I find it frustrating that you have to 'untick' things with 10 that you don't want as some things are very invasive. 6 GB of updates I think is very rude. We have two desktop computers and one laptop so you can imagine that the updates take up rather a lot of our monthly Internet allowance.
@inthecloud5 Indeed it was a waste of precious time. I've got it more or less sorted now though. I have no idea why Microsoft have to create so many updates when things are working perfectly well without them. Due to the size of the updates we had to pay extra for our monthly Intfernet allowance this month.
So you got the dreaded windows 10 update over and done with. Glad you went out for that walk and captured this wonderful scene. The orange reflection on the wet shore is just perfect.
Sorry to read about the trouble you had. We have Windows 10 and it bugs that it gives you no choice but to update...with the older ones you could always "do it later!" Apart from that I have been reasonably happy with 10, but we had Vista for years and that was a total and utter nightmare.... pretty shot Babs.
@stephanies Generally Windows 10 isn't too bad but I do prefer Windows 7. With 10 it annoys me that you can't decide whether you want the updates or not and a lot of them you don't want anyway. This last time it changed where my photos were 'imported' to and I had to do a search to find where they were. I have now managed to change it to where I imported them previously, but it was quite a job. The biggest annoyance is the fact that the updates are always around 6 GB and with two desktop computers and one laptop to update it takes up a huge chunk of our monthly Internet allowance. Whinge over ha ha.
This is a wonderful sunset shot with great composition
