The second exhibition we went to while we were in Canberra was The History of the World in 100 Objects from the British Museum.
This was a very popular exhibition at the National Museum and the queues were a mile long. Luckily because we were on a bus trip, we managed to get in the 'back door' so to speak and didn't have to join the long queues.
A totally different exhibition to the opulence of the Versailles exhibition the day before and to me, much more interesting.
Thanks for your lovely comments on yesterday's collage. I am a bit short of time at the moment. Out last night and out most of the day today too.
@hermann It is a brilliant exhibition. How long did Kat have to queue. When we were there the queues were a mile long. Luckily as a tour group we were able to jump the queue. As it was a small area I think the number of people allowed in there at one time was limited.
@suesouthwood Yes Sue it was on loan from the British Museum. The exhibition has ended now. The last day was the day after we were there. Not sure where it is going next.
Maybe I should tell Peter Day that I haven't got time to talk eh Jane :)
It was a fabulous exhibition and I was so glad that we managed to jump the queue because we were a bus load of 'old people'. They probably thought most of us wouldn't last long in the queue, ha ha.
