Here is a second collage of some of the items at the History of the World Exhibition in Canberra.
As I was taking a photo of the blue bowl, seen here in the top left of this collage, I heard a woman who was standing next to me saying to her husband, 'If there's a fire while we are in here, grab this for me please' ha ha.
Sorry I am a bit absent at the moment from 365. Since we got back from Canberra my feet haven't touched the ground. I have tried to catch up this afternoon though.
Another wonderful collage Babs, full of interesting images beautifully captured, I would take the nautical time piece in the event of a fire must be the engineer in me, lol:)
@pcoulson Yes it is beautiful isn't it. It is the ship's chronometer from HMS Beagle. I think I would need a truck to take some of my favourites. Maybe it would need to be a slow burning fire. ha ha.
The oldest piece in this collection is the Karpathos Lady (centre left) 4500-3200 BCE. She was found in Karpathos, Greece and it is not known whether it represents a real woman or if it is a fertility goddess. Either way she could be quite a conversation piece in your lounge room couldn't she.
Your collages are reminding me of my undergrad days when I thought it would be really exciting to work in a museum. Life took a different path, but I still enjoy looking at artwork.
I've been really liking your arrangements of these great subjects. I think the museums would love to have your collages for exhibition purposes or post cards.
