Gloucester Mosaics by onewing

Gloucester Mosaics

Posting a bit late tonight because we have been at Gloucester all day. That is Gloucester New South Wales, not Gloucester in the UK.

It has been a really hot day and I am shattered this evening.

We saw lots of mosaics in Gloucester, it seems to be a popular way of showing artwork and things associated with the area.

The above mosaics are

1 Thunderbolt (a local bushranger in the 1800s)

2 Gold Mining

3 Timber Logging

4 Trout Fishing

5 Steam Trains

6 Dairy Farming
Love it Babs.

love it
how bloody hot and humid has it been - have the aircon on and walking outside is like hitting a brick wall - and it's half seven phew!

@annied Tell me about it. It was about 34 c in Gloucester and humid, still about 28 c here at home now and still humid. I have got aircon on too.

I love this collage! I'm glad you shared all of them. The mosaics are fascinating. I also really took a liking to the Aboriginal art during my visit to Australia. I guess I'm not the most sophisticated art critic, but I like what I like. And I like this!

Sorry for the group reply, but I am pretty busy at the moment. Hope I didn't confuse some of you with the Gloucester namesake. We have lots of places here that are the same as the UK. Pity our Gloucester is so far away from some of you in England, it would have been lovely to catch up.

So much detail in these mosaics, they are wonderful

Living not far from the UK Gloucester, it's interesting to see these mosaics which could equally apply to this area. Thanks for sharing them Babs.
