First of all thank you so much for the amazing response to yesterday's 'Attitude' photo and for putting the gorgeous ostrich on the PP. Next time I go to Oakvale Farm I will have to buy a bag of animal food to give to him because he posed so beautifully for me.
Here is another photo from Oakvale and as you can see this gorgeous black swan hasn't got anywhere near as much attitude as the ostrich had. In fact this swan was quite shy.
Another lovely bird capture Babs. The red eye and texture in the feathers is fantastic! You seem to be very close to these birds, are they fairly tamed?
@paul10 Yes I was standing right next to him. There were two black swans and people were feeding them by hand. Some of the animals at Oakvale are a bit feisty and they are behind fences but most of the animals roam free.
@pcoulson A lot of children visit Oakvale Farm so all the animals are used to people around them. sometimes the swans can get a bit feisty, but generally they are pretty well behaved.
I am a whole week behind.... so having a big catch-up now. Thanks for all your lovely comments Babs, so lovely to read them all. Interesting to read that you don't get many white swans over there... quite the opposite over here.. we have a glut of them. I think I have only seen black swans a handful of times in total. Lovely capture, it looks almost thoughtful/pensive.
