Hello everyone, I'm back. I have had a lovely much needed break and will be posting photos over the next few days to fill in the gaps when I was absent. No need to comment on the photos.
My surgery was yesterday and everything didn't go exactly to plan, so I could have more surgery in the near future. All planning is flexible as they say. I have to go back and see the surgeon at the end of the month to get the results of the biopsies they took during surgery and see where we go from here.
The dramas with my daughter seem to have settled down again at the moment and David's health is on the mend again too. He has a medical appointment on Friday to get the results of his surgery.
During my break my nephew Rob and his partner Sarah visited from Western Australia for a few days before flying to Brisbane and the Gold Coast for a further holiday and they are now on their way back home to WA. I will be posting photos taken while they were here to fill in the gaps on my 365 project.
Isn't nature wonderful. I just loved how the bark of this tree, where the branches have been cut off look like the eyes of an owl and the bark creates the face of the owl.
I will catch up with your photos slowly over the next few days. Hope to be up to speed again soon.
Crikey Babs, never a dull moment at your place. Sorry to hear you may be up for more surgery, will keep my fingers crossed for you. Good to hear David's on the mend.
Sorry to hear that everything has not been plain sailing with your surgery and I hope you will get good results from your biopsies ! This waiting game is no fun -- but keep positive and try to keep smiling -- hugs ! xx
oh Babs, what rotten luck, the surgery.. Do hope there is good news from the biopsies and no need for further intervention.. Take care of yourself Babs..
good to hear David's on the mend..
in the meantime Mr Owl is looking rather good, all the way to his non-existent shoulder line..
It's all a bit storm-cloudy over your way still, reading this, but I do hope things shake out and settle down for you soon. Lovely to see you and I love this tree too!
So good to have you back Babs but sorry to hear your surgery didn't go as well as it could have. Pleased to hear there's good news re your daughter and David.
@golftragic thanks Marnie. good job I am made of tough stuff eh. Biopsies will be fine, they always are and it is something that has to be checked every couple of years. Not impressed with the different surgeon though, he made a real balls of things. My surgeon is away for 3 months. I will wait now until she is back again.
@leestevo@megpicatilly@beryl@jorlam@littleconnie@happysnaps@casablanca@seattlite@paul10@merrelyn@carolmw@susiemc@inthecloud5@bkbinthecity Thanks, everything will be fine. The biopsies are just something I have to have checked every couple of years and I am sure they will be fine. I had to see a different surgeon this time as my surgeon is away for 3 months. Unfortunately, I didn't have as much confidence in him as I do in Vanessa and I was right too. He said they couldn't do everything as planned because of 'technical difficulties'. In my experience only a poor workman blames his tools. I will wait now until Vanessa is back again.
@onewing Well that is certainly good to hear! Things have been a bit crazy with my new work schedule and recovering from the worst cold and cough - but you are still the top of my to do list!
What a fun find in this shot! I am sorry to read about the mess up with this new surgeon, and that you have to go under again. I hope the results are all ok anyway Babs.
good to hear David's on the mend..
in the meantime Mr Owl is looking rather good, all the way to his non-existent shoulder line..
Hope you have good news from the biopsies. Stay positive.
Good to hear that your husband is on the mend too.
Great tree/owl!
