He's Such a Show Off

Thanks so much for all your comments and favs for yesterday's 'Strutting His Stuff' shot of this very same peacock.

http://365project.org/onewing/365/2017-10-23

Every one of our little photo group were impressed to be able to capture so many great shots of him. Everyone on 365 seemed to be impressed too judging by the favs and for putting him on the PP. Even his rear view is impressive as you can see here, but his poor long suffering wife doesn't seem to be as impressed as everyone else.

He put his heart and soul into this magnificent display and in the end she just wandered off. Maybe better luck next time.
She does not look that impressed with his courtship dance does she great shot Babs:)

She needs to be on the other side to witness his finery. Then again, no doubt she has already seen it many times. Great shot of the disinterested peahen.
October 24th, 2017
This made me laugh - all that effort and she just turns away!
October 24th, 2017
@littleconnie She was on the other side and kept walking behind him to get away. He was strutting about like mad trying to find her.
October 24th, 2017
Ha ha -- clever peahen !! she knows how to make him guessing !!
October 24th, 2017
Poor little lady she is not very impressed.
October 24th, 2017
A step too far, maybe?!
October 24th, 2017
Wow! What a display! beautiful bird.
October 24th, 2017
@quietpurplehaze a step too far for the peahen maybe but for the photographer no.
October 24th, 2017
@onewing

Always two sides to every situation!
October 24th, 2017
Haha - us females don't like a show-off do we!!
October 24th, 2017
A brilliant display, great capture.
October 24th, 2017
The lady peacock doesn't seem to be impressed - she is even looking in the opposite direction. Lovely.
October 24th, 2017
Very impressive :)
October 24th, 2017
Nice capture and display.
October 24th, 2017
They look like mini swallows at the edges if his tail. She's probably secretly impressed but does not want to feed his huge ego anymore
October 24th, 2017
What a display but I love the ho hum of the peahen :)
October 24th, 2017
Oh I love this capture, the backside view is awesome. Love the female just standing there, she’s seen it all before. Ha. Fav!
October 24th, 2017
She's really not impressed... great shot of her complete lack of interest!
October 24th, 2017
Perhaps she's seen it all before! Even from this view he's impressive:)
October 24th, 2017
Not a side of the bird that is usually photographed but it makes a really interesting image
October 24th, 2017
Fascinating how those brown feather are probably part of his 'balance kit' to ensure he doesn’t fall on his face. Now that would be a shot!
October 24th, 2017
Very different POV. I like it.
October 24th, 2017
Wow, amazing.
October 24th, 2017
Super shot of that fan of feathers :)
October 24th, 2017
Sue
Ooh, love his rear view - something you don't really see photographed
October 24th, 2017
She is not impressed, mind you he shouldn't turn his back on the lady he is trying to impress. Beautiful capture.
October 24th, 2017
Great pov and capture. Fav!! 😀
October 24th, 2017
Wow this is stunning Fav
October 24th, 2017
ha ha a great capture of him showing off Babs. I think their rear view is almost as good as the front. Guess she's seen it all before.
October 24th, 2017
Most excellent :)
October 24th, 2017
And he knows it & from any angle too by the looks of him! I would run away mrs peacock!
October 24th, 2017
Who could resist his advances? Fav
October 24th, 2017
Haha, this is so funny! Not a view that is often seen, I'm intrigued by the peach feathers, we have one that visits our garden in the summer and I first thought they were bald patches!
October 24th, 2017
A handsome chap though! Nice capture
October 24th, 2017
A beautiful and funny capture with a great timing.
October 24th, 2017
Is this his backside or his front side? No matter - he is showing off!
October 24th, 2017
Beautiful display.
October 24th, 2017
@maggiemae Yes Maggie it is his backside, here is the front side that I posted yesterday http://365project.org/onewing/365/2017-10-23
He was strutting about for ages trying to chat up his missus, but she wasn't interested at all.
October 24th, 2017
@pcoulson He was putting on a really show for her, but she insisted on running away. Probably didn't want an audience of all these people.
October 24th, 2017
@dide @beryl @beryl @happysnaps @janemartin @lyndamcg @ludwigsdiana @sangwann @gilbertwood @jessikapanteleios @casablanca @hermann @louannwarren @inthecloud5 @fbailey @sarahlth @moonmtn @mittens @seattlite @suesouthwood @claudiet @carolmw @rosiekind @cruiser @paul10 @happypat @megpicatilly @suzanne234 @craftymeg @pyrrhula @henrir Thanks. This chap really put on a show for us all. He strutted about for about 10 minutes trying to chat up the peahen but she just wasn't interested, perhaps she had a headache. ha ha
I thought the rear view was just as interesting as the front and he strutted about all over the place to make sure we all saw all of his impressive display. It was quite a dance.
October 24th, 2017
@s4sayer You could be right Margo, the brown feathers are probably part of his balancing kit. Luckily for him he didn't fall on his face and spoil his impressive dance.
October 24th, 2017
Wow what a fabulous display
October 24th, 2017
Awesome shot
October 24th, 2017
Haha - she knows who's going to have to take care of the results of this display if she gives in- "Not tonight dear..."! (Or for the next 40!)
October 24th, 2017
Super capture!!
October 25th, 2017
I do like the view from behind. Great lines and patterns on his bum ;)
October 25th, 2017
This definitely made me laugh! Terrific capture and narrative! :-)
October 25th, 2017
Excellent shot, even thought the pea-hen doesn't seem to be impressed.
October 25th, 2017
@busylady @elisasaeter @olivetreeann @kwind @888rachel @gaylewood @golftragic He really put his heart and soul into this display and she wasn't even slightly impressed.
October 25th, 2017
Gawd... she looks like she hard work.
October 25th, 2017
He is beautiful!
October 25th, 2017
Wow, fab shot.
October 28th, 2017
Wish I looked that good from the back!
October 29th, 2017
He sure is, beautiful though
November 4th, 2017
