Jacaranda Avenue

I am posting a bit early today because we are out for dinner this evening as it is our wedding anniversary.

While we were out yesterday I had to stop on our way home to get a photo of the beautiful jacaranda trees along this avenue.

I just love the way the trees have formed a tunnel.

It looks quite nice on black.

I learned about these trees on a visit to Australia and remember seeing them in bloom in Brisbane. This is a beautiful street of those purple beauties!

I fell in love with jacaranda trees when we lived in Cyprus for three years. The plantation road into Limassol had hundreds of jacarandas forming a tunnel just like in this shot. We have a jacaranda in our garden but it doesn't look as beautiful as these.
We had a lovely meal out for our anniversary and thanks for your good wishes.
