Morpeth Bridge by onewing

Morpeth Bridge

We have been out most of the day today and out for lunch too. Only just got home.

I am doing quite well this week, we were out for lunch on Thursday with our walkers, out for lunch today, we are out for dinner tomorrow night and out for lunch next Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. I will forget how to cook at this rate.

Here is another photo from our walk at Morpeth on Thursday.

Morpeth Bridge spans the Hunter River and opened on the 15 June 1898.
perfectly!

This is a great looking bridge - fab on black. I like the eclipses in the stations compared with the straightness off the overhead structure. Along with the water mark I am sure maths teachers would get a great deal from this photo as well as it being lovely.

Glad to see you are back to your usual active social life. A great bridge to photograph. The markings make me wonder just how high that river gets.

@olenadole @beryl @henrir @mandygravil @littleconnie @dide @hermann @inthecloud5 @kjarn @casablanca @sangwann @louannwarren @cutekitty @ludwigsdiana @merrelyn @carolmw @seattlite @julienne1 @elisasaeter @kathiecb @fbailey @suzanne234 @peadar @louisanoffke Thanks everyone. I am a bit absent from 365 at the moment, but catch up when I can. I have two photo presentations to put together before the end of the month so my extra time has been taken up with that. I am limited on the amount of time I can sit at the computer because I am still not feeling 100%. Hope to be up and running to full strength soon.

@helenhall @quietpurplehaze Social life is okay, I am just limited because I don't feel too good at the moment. I find it very difficult to stay still for too long though. Plenty of time to do that when I am dead ha ha. It takes a lot to stop me altogether.

Nice black and white! Has the water level ever topped the measuring lines there?
November 20th, 2017
@olivetreeann Yes, Morpeth floods quite often. This area is very low lying land and Morpeth has been cut off on lots of occasions.
November 20th, 2017
I like bridges and this is a rather interesting one - is it road or rail?
November 21st, 2017
They are serious flood measuring sticks. The b&w works well.
