Salamander Foreshore

Another hot humid day, but at least there is a slight breeze blowing.

We desperately need some rain.
Yes, everything so dry. I would like to go for a boat ride at high tide though.

We need rain too, I guess it will come tomorrow as it is the fist day back at school and it always rains on the first day back.

Nice image - we need to drill a hole through the earth so we can send you some rain!! It has been plentiful this winter!

January 29th, 2018
not a bad spot you live in Babs!
January 29th, 2018
My goodness your tide must be very high when it comes in, so this boat can float.
January 29th, 2018
Lovely scene, wish I could send you some of our rain :-)
January 29th, 2018
Great capture of this summery beach scene

Lovely shot. Hot and humid? What is that? LOL We haven't seen hot and in humid in awhile. We're expecting snow tonight. :)

January 29th, 2018
Nice capture, I wish I could send you some of the rain we have been getting lately, we seem to have seas of mud everywhere!

Nice composition.
January 29th, 2018
Lovely image
January 29th, 2018
@lyndamcg Linda is right far too much rain here, the fields are saturated! A drain hole would be a great idea!
January 29th, 2018
Looks beautiful but I wouldn't like it humid. You need rain and we've seen too much of the stuff.
January 29th, 2018
A very tranquil image. Love the foreground boat.
January 29th, 2018
Love the swirls and ripples of the sand
January 29th, 2018
Lovely composition.

Now that's an inviting scene. I hope you get some rain soon Babs
January 29th, 2018
A lovely boat scene with those patterns on the sand. (I'm amongst the growing group wishing we could send you some of our rain)
January 29th, 2018
This poor guy looks stranded!

@365projectorgjenfurj @nicolecampbell @kjarn @beryl @pcoulson @carole_sandford @hrs @hermann @seattlite @merrelyn @mittens @peterday @ludwigsdiana @paul10 @pamdavis2015 @thistle @carolmw @tremerryn @henrir @megpicatilly @megpicatilly @kathiecb @susiemc @suzanne234 Thanks, it is still hot and humid and still no rain. We have only had one day of rain since Christmas Eve and according to our rain gauge only 5 mm on that day too. Everywhere is so dry.
January 29th, 2018
@pusspup Thanks. Our house is in amongst the clump of trees you can see just around the beach.
January 29th, 2018
@louannwarren @shesnapped The boat won't be stranded for long, the tides here aren't huge and I think this is the lowest point of the low tide.
January 29th, 2018
@flowerfairyann Yes, the humidity is the killer. Our normal humid month is February but this year it has crept in to January as well. The rest of the year is just fine. We can cope with high temperatures just as long as the humidity is low.
January 29th, 2018
@lyndamcg @inthecloud5 @happypat @craftymeg @helenhall Thanks. I think Lynda's idea of drilling a hole from the UK to Australia would be a good idea, we could definitely do with some of your rain. We have only had one day of rain (5 mm) since Christmas Eve. The dryer it gets the more risk of bushfires. We have had one really bad bushfire so far, but luckily that was about half an hour away from where I live.
January 29th, 2018
Beautiful scene!
January 29th, 2018
This boat looks beached!
January 30th, 2018
@onewing lovely! lucky you:)
January 30th, 2018
My low tide is really low! Still a very pretty shot. I hope rain comes your way soon- that is a very serious drought.
January 30th, 2018
beautiful beach scene with the tide so far out.....hot & dry here too...
January 30th, 2018
Wonderful beach scene! I think it's so interesting to see boats at low tide like this. I hope you get some much needed rain soon.
January 31st, 2018
Hoping you get some rain soon, it's cold and rainy with a threat of snow again over here......brr....nice to look at your picture though and imagine the warmth you are having.
