I have got a busy week this week so not much time for taking new photos. For the next few days I will be posting some black and white photos taken over the last few weeks.
On our way home from visiting friends in Paterson a few weeks ago we passed through the village of Hinton. We stopped so I could take a photo of Hinton Bridge.
Hinton Bridge over the Paterson River was completed in 1900, it is an Allan timber truss road bridge and is one of only three lift bridges in the Hunter region which in the past accommodated river steamers as they travelled the Hunter River system.
I thought editing it in black and white would bring out the detail of the bridge.
Love this shot Babs, you've really got the bridge very well. I recognise the structure, the Swan HIll bridge over the Murray is exactly the same, with a lifting span in the middle.
