When I woke up this morning our house was surrounded by mist. I wandered down to the beach to get a photo and you can only just see the headland off to the right of this picture. It took until 1 pm today for the sun to appear. We don't get many days where the low sky stays around for half of the day.
@casablanca Wistful! Yeah right. I complained about the low sky even though it brightened up by 1 pm. The good thing about winter in Australia is that it isn't winter every day. Apparently sunshine and 19 degrees C tomorrow is forecast.
Today brought back memories for David, he said it looked like Blaenau Ffestiniog. Our house was in the clouds this morning.
Brisbane was clear and sunny and quite warm. The cafe I had breakfast had the outdoor heaters turned on. The Queenslanders really don't know what winter feels like. It is going to be -3 tonight and approximately 1 degree tomorrow morning when the girls are playing netball!
This photo reminds me of the poem..If you go down to the sea today, the lonely sea & the sky....you know the one. As soon as I saw it that poem went through my mind. It's lovely & I like days like this, it is winter in Australia after all. We had temperatures of 17deg in NZ there winter too, that is a summer day many a time in the UK.

@carole_sandford The good thing about winter in Australia is that it isn't winter every day. Check out today's picture and see the difference.
@nicolecampbell A bit of a difference between Brisbane and Canberra isn't it.
@happypat Sea Fever by John Masefield is one of my Mum's favourite poems and I recite it often as I walk along the beach.
@golftragic Watch this space Marnie and you will see the difference a day makes.
