More photos taken at the market on Sunday. I love the old tin plate signs that used to be outside shops and there were lots of them for sale at the market.
Here is a collage of some of the signs that were for sale.
They look quite nice on black.
Which one is your favourite, I quite like the Wizard of Oz sign
lovely collection - i'm surprised you were allowed to photograph them on the market stall. You did a great job of getting them all square on. Im fascinated most by the weet-bix. Such an unlikely scene, and such a big box for that young lady to munch her way through.
@helenhall The knack is not to make eye contact with the stall holder. The photos were taken on different stalls and some of the signs were hanging on the edge of the stall so easier to photograph.
I cheated a bit with the 'square on' I straightened them in Photoshop.
These are great! Weetabix with butter on is my breakfast every day along with a boiled egg. Arnotts biscuits........we did a piece of work for them when we lived in Australia all those years ago. Sad that they are no longer Australian. Loved their little cheesy triangles and the Tim Tams!
Great collection- who would have thought the Wizard of Oz would advertise on a tin sign? Hard to choose a favorite- I like a lot of them. Of course, Coca Cola and the Wiz are the only two I officially recognize.
Lovely collection, we have some repro signs on our shed, but we do have a very special original from grandads garage. I so wish we had the other fixtures from it
@casablanca Hope you are eating your Wheetabix and boiled egg for breakfast again now after your procedure.
I love Arnott's biscuits too, maybe Australia will get them back again when Donald has bankrupted the USA.
