Newcastle Street Art by onewing

Newcastle Street Art

Back to street art photos again after the distraction yesterday with the bushfire photo.

Here is another photo of street art taken at Broadmeadow Station in Newcastle before we caught the train to Sydney a couple of weeks ago.

The centre artwork is of the bulk carrier Pasha Bulker that ran aground during a massive storm in Newcastle 2007.
great way to show these off Babs

Nice murals. I enjoy street art like this.
I think I would agree - you don't want to leave home only to not be able to return if the roads get closed again. Hoping it all fizzles out soon (literally)

@casablanca Thanks. I didn't go to Newcastle yesterday. The fire is still burning and will be for quite a few days yet I suppose, but I believe the road is open again now. Didn't want to risk it though because you never know with bushfires quite when they are going to jump the road again. As there is only one road down to Nelson Bay from Salt Ash I wouldn't want to get stuck on the wrong side.

Super colourful graffiti

@onewing A truly terrifying thought. Yes, I would be sticking close to home for a while. Nice that you have some Blue Peter “here’s one I prepared earlier” photos for the interim. Yours is the first one I look for every day. 😀

Lovely collage and very nice street art.

@casablanca The majority of my photos are ones 'I prepared earlier' these days. Too many other things to do rather than go out each day just to take a photo.

They are a colorful way to brighten up a drab train station- nice collage! I do hope they'll get that fire under control for you and the other residents.
