A quick turn around today because we have been at our U3A Christmas lunch at a restaurant in Fingal Bay and now we are on our way to another party this afternoon and evening.
Thanks for all the lovely comments and favs for yesterdays Storm Brewing photo.
This is what the weather looked like yesterday as we were on our way to lunch during the storm. Luckily it passed quickly and by the time we had reached the restaurant the rain had stopped.
It has been very windy and rainy today too but now the rain has stopped and the sun is shining again.
Just off out to party number 2 today so will catch up later when I get chance.
Aiiii.... be careful. To much rain and poor visability. I think I`ll stop on the first parking and waith for better conditions. (I alway`s have a book in the car.)
@maggiemae It wasn't evening Maggie, it was in the middle of the day, the sky just went so black and it poured down. We did get a good soaking though which was very much needed.
@brennieb Thanks. It was hot and steamy after the rain stopped, but the rain was much needed. It hasn't rained here for weeks and with our recent bushfire the ground needed to be damped down somewhat.
@annied Thanks Annie. We have to enjoy ourselves, we will be a long time dead, ha ha.
@beryl Thanks Beryl, our various parties always seem to start early here because Christmas in Australia is in the middle of summer so everyone either goes away or has visitors for the holidays. Our parties will settle down after next week as we get closer to Christmas.
@s4sayer Thanks Margo, it wasn't cold wetness though, it was hot and humid wetness. Almost summer here so getting very warm now. We very much needed the rain because it hasn't rained here for weeks and as we are well into the bushfire season the rain was more than welcome.
Yup. Our drive home tonight. Our flight got diverted to Milwaukee and instead of waiting overnight at the airport to fly home in the morning, we decided to rent a car and drive home tonight. In the rain. You capture the feeling of driving in the rain well!

The storms seem to have passed now but they were much needed. We hadn't had rain for over three weeks and as we are now heading for summer here in Australia we desperately needed the wet before it heads up too much. We have already had a few bushfires due to the dryness already so any amount of rain at the moment is good.
