Following on from yesterday's photo of the oyster beds at low tide, I walked further up the beach close to the mangroves and thought I would take a photo of this mangrove in the sand at low tide. I didn't keep the ball on the piece of wood for long because I didn't want to set fire to it in the heat of the day.
Just behind me on this stretch of the beach is bushland and the mangroves, then across the other side of the road is where the bushfire was a few weeks ago.
You are brave going out with your crystal ball again after your inadvertent warming experiences!!! Super shot. I really must get mine out and work out how to take something fun with it.
A fabulous fav Babs! This is what I shall be striving for with my ball but it may take some time. Love everything about this - the colours, clarity and subject.
@maggiemae Thanks Maggie. I did think about turning it upside down but the wood log on top of the ball just didn't look right somehow.
@peterday No I don't take it out with me all the time it is heavy in my camera bag.
@casablanca I stayed away from dry grass. Thought I could get the picture quick enough before it set fire to the log ha ha. There is already the remains of the bushfire behind me so didn't want to get caught starting another fire.
@kjarn No fires, the bushland behind me is still burnt out from the last fire.
I always love it when you take your crystal ball out............you take such great shots with it. Did you take this using your macro lens?
I'm still struggling with my ball, I need to practice more!
@kjarn ha ha I'm trying to forget about that one. I steered clear of dry grass. I thought this log would be safer but i didn't hang around too long, it was bloody hot
