I took this photo of my daughter Deb yesterday at our local beach.
Today we drove to Stockton and took the ferry across to Newcastle. After almost a full day of walking and photo taking we decided to catch the light rail for a couple of stops and Deb either left her camera at the tram stop or on the tram itself. It wasn't until we got off the tram that she realized she hadn't got it.
We have reported it missing at the tram depot and hopefully somebody will hand it in, but nobody has so far. I think the camera has gone to a new owner. A sad end to a good day.
I will be a bit absent at the moment while Deb is here but I will catch up when she returns to Melbourne
Fave fir this shot Babs but I was sad to read of the loss of your daughters camera....it would really spoil memories of a lovely day together. Hopefully someone hasn’t had time to hand it in yet....people are more honest than you expect sometimes. Beautiful light here.
Such a beautiful sea scape , composition and the lovely inclusion of Deb making it a lovely photo for your memory box ! A big fav . So sorry to hear of the loss of the camera , what a shame for such an event to mar your otherwise perfect day . I sincerely hope that some honest person will have the decency to hand it in if found ! Keep hoping !
This is such a wonderful shot and scene, I recognise your tiny planet here.My first thought was, how wonderful to have a daughter that shares your hobby/passion. Then I read your narrative! I feel so sorry for your daughter that she lost her camera and hope there are still some honest and decent people around. I would be beside myself!
No news about the camera yet, but she has to ring lost property at the light rail depot tomorrow and also she will ring the police station too to see if it has been handed in there. I don't hold out much hope but we will have to wait and see.
Oh that is so sad Babs to spoil your time with Debs.. Lets hope it get handed in and returned to you .. Love this shot .. the cloud looks like fluffy cotton wool caught up in the tree..
I always like pictures of photographers taking pictures- I guess I enjoy seeing the way they are seeing the scene before them. I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of Deb's camera- the saddest part being that someone not only stole the property but all the memories on that camera card.
I love the way the cloud is balanced on top of the tree.
