@shutterbug49 Well spotted there is a modern antennae on the roof. The back of this property is being restored and is lived in. I think the front of this house will be next. I think originally the front of this property was a shop and their living quarters were behind it.
It is indeed a very old property. On the other side of the road is the Victoria Hotel built in 1840. I must find out the history of this house next time I am passing through Hinton. There is an old village shop further along the street and I believe a post office was built 1835.
The first permanent settlers were 12 ex convicts in 1818.
I am not sure where she kept her broomstick Beryl, I didn't get too close just in case.
