I am very late posting tonight because we have been out all day.
Our local amateur theatre company in Newcastle has opened up again after 8 months of lockdown and this afternoon we went to see Present Laughter by Noel Coward with a group of friends. It was brilliant, it is so nice to be able to go out to the theatre again.
From the theatre we all went out for a meal and have just got home.
While in lockdown the outside of the theatre has had a makeover and this is the result.
Thanks so much for your comments and favs on yesterday's Evening Light photo and I will catch up with your photos tomorrow, a bit late now as I need a cuppa and an early night.
They have made good use of the lock down period -and what a cheerful and welcoming exterior . So pleased for you that you are able to visit the theatre again and be out with friends !
So great for you to be able to go to the theatre again. Hopefully it won't be too long before we are able to as well. Love the decoration so colourful the figures are great
I like this colourful display - it is quite a makeover. You are very fortunate to be able to go to the theatre. That looks a long way away here in the UK.
Love the makeover and your photos of it. Must be so nice to get out. We have had no leadership and a great deal of resistance at even wearing masks, so our numbers are soaring and we’re still isolated since March 16.
Lots of work gone on there! The arts & entertainment world is really suffering here in the UK....I think many theatres are on the brink of going under. We need some happy times in our lives...nothing like a good play or musical. Looks a fun makeover.
Great collage.
