Koala Shelters

No time for photos today because I had a medical appointment this morning and then had to drive to Raymond Terrace this afternoon and I have only just got home.

Here are a couple of photos taken at the koala sanctuary on Tuesday.

The top photo shows one of the shelters from the viewing platform and the second one shows a close up of a koala shelter too. I quite liked how the water spray created a rainbow across the shelter.

That's an interesting set-up. Is this for rehabilitation of injured koalas?

@robz It is a permanent home for injured koalas, they won't be let out into the wild again because they have been severely injured and some are also blind. They have a lovely setting though to end their days.

There is also a koala hospital here too.
