We get lots of crested pigeons in our garden, they always seem to go around in groups, but they are always at the back of the pecking order where other birds are concerned.
Thanks for putting yesterday's 'bath-time' photo on the tp and the pp. Glad it gave you a smile.
I am a bit absent at the moment because I am busy with my family history updates.
Wow ! an interesting looking pigeon - have never seen a crested one before ! Love the patterns and colourings ,- and of course his important looking crest !
Love it when the male chases the female around trying to . .er . .get her attention. Always looks like a Benny Hill promo.
And we have a male who has claimed a corner of our patio between some pot plants and he practices his woop woop dance with tail spread out. Looks hilarious.
Hi Babs. I've only bobbed back on here at the moment to stop the site deleting my account but great to see you (and the pigeon!) and hope to be back with you all soon. X
@koalagardens Not quite at the bottom. I have seen them stand up to the Rainbows. They whack the Rainbows with a very sharp and sudden wing flap and the Rainbow will back off. It is so quick and so unexpected that the first time I wasn't sure what I had seen but I have seen it on a number of occasions
@terryliv@koalagardens I've seen the occasional pigeon flip their wing at a lorikeet too but generally they run a mile from them. maybe the ones I see standing up to the lorikeets are just rather p'ed off. The lorikeets are the boss in our garden, well at least until the little corellas arrive, but corellas aren't bossy they just give the lorikeets a look and they know not to mess with them. ha ha.
Enjoy delving into your family history....its a little bit addictive, isnt it?

@koalagardens You've got to feel sorry for them haven't you, all they get are the scraps.
@pusspup He didn't want me to get too close.
@angelar Hi Angela, good to see you popping in. Hope all is well with you. look forward to seeing you return soon.
@leggzy It is addictive. I have done family history for a few years, but lately a lot more information is available and I am filling in some gaps then writing up the story for each person. @seattlite @jamibann @kjarn @ludwigsdiana @maggiemae @pusspup @gijsje @joansmor @wakelys @beryl @ingrid01 @sangwann Don't you just love the hairdo. David and I call them punk pigeons because of the hairstyle.
