Lockdown Tinnies by onewing

Lockdown Tinnies

I am having a break from flower photos now because we went for a walk this morning to Soldiers Point. Even the tinnies are in lockdown!

Hopefully our lockdown will be eased on Monday, but we will have to wait and see how things go.

There were only 4 new cases of Covid in Port Stephens in the last 24 hours, but we come under Hunter New England Local Government Area and all together there were 89 new cases in total.

I will post the rest of my flower photos next week probably.

I hope things do improve. Numbers are very high here in Alberta

It looks like a lovely day up there. I just heard that we have reached the 70% double vaxxed figure we needed

Picture perfect, gorgeous capture and weather.

You are still able to walk around but lockdown must achieve something unless there are others who don't care.. a bit like what's happening here!

If I had to chose where to be locked down I'd go for that view.

Looks lovely, shame about the lockdown.

Looks like a lovely day to be out for a short walk, hope you will soon be able to go further away, great image full of light and colour Babs:)

Fingers crossed you come out of lockdown now that we've reached 70% double vaxed

Beautiful scene even if in lockdown..

I was just commenting today about the new vocabulary kids have now. ‘Lockdown, essential workers, bubbles, vaccinations.’ All these things are just part of kids (and our) lives.
October 6th, 2021
Well a lovely restful scene. I hope you can get out and about soon.
October 6th, 2021
I'll keep my fingers crossed for you Babs :)

This is such a pretty shot. I hope your lockdown eases up soon.

You must all be fed up with lockdown as we were…no more lockdown for us…we seem to be living with it OK now. I’m going for my booster tomorrow!

Lovely sunny day scene 😎

A lovely capture. Nice colours and composition.

hate to hear you are in lock down.... gorgeous shot
October 6th, 2021
How frustrating for you to still be locked down.. You're doing a much better job of controlling the virus than we are here in the UK
October 6th, 2021
A wonderful scene. Bright and sunny. Let's hope we can thumb out nose at Covid soon!
October 6th, 2021
PS. We had 39,851 new cases confirmed today. 145 people died today, that's people who had a positive covid test within the last 28 days

Lovely sunny view. Think we are all familiar with lockdowns by now, unfortunately. I wonder if Australia’s problems will get worse when you open to people coming from world wide, because I believe the country has been “closed” to the outside world?

Great shot of the marine and view

@bkbinthecity I feel things will get worse when we open again after this latest lockdown.

@kjarn It was a beautiful day, beginning to warm up now. Are you coming out of lockdown on Monday too? Can't help feeling things will escalate again though once we do.

@ludwigsdiana @beryl @joansmor @carolinesdreams @pcoulson @fishers @gijsje @carolmw @sharandrah @susiemc @samae @pyrrhula Thanks, I don't mind being in lockdown when we have lovely beaches like this to walk on locally.

@maggiemae @kimka @wakelys @happysnaps @louannwarren @merrelyn @busylady @ubobohobo @ubobohobo Thanks. I don't mind lockdown because I have plenty to keep me occupied and we still have lovely beaches to walk on locally. The only things I miss are not being able to see friends, go to the cinema, out for a meal and go to the theatre. Can't help feeling things will get worse when we open up again though.

@dide It's a whole new vocabulary these days isn't it and who thought that wearing masks would be the fashion icon of the 2020s.

@happypat Good luck with the booster. Wonder how long it will be before we are having boosters here. I don't mind lockdown in itself because we still have lovely places to walk locally, but I do miss not being able to see friends, go to the cinema and theatre and go out for a meal.

@busylady I think it will get bad again here when we open up again even when we are fully vaxxed.

@kjarn @leggzy Can't help feeling we will have more problems when we come out of lockdown even if we are fully vaxxed.

@carole_sandford I am certain Australia's problems will get worse when we open up again. Unfortunately because we live in a tourist area here in Port Stephens I think we are in for a rough ride.

Oh no..............hope things work out for you soon!
Great shot of the marina!

Beautiful shot of the boats. Walking keeps me sane during lockdowns. We have not been locked down for quite awhile, but we still get many covid cases and even breakthrough cases in fully vaccinated people. Because I had pneumonia in March and I’m 72, I got my booster yesterday.
October 7th, 2021
I hope we can get enough of the world vaccinated so we can get past this pandemic.
October 7th, 2021
@shutterbug49 We haven't done so badly with Covid in Australia so far until now when the Delta strain has taken hold here so things will get worse before they get better.

Not sure when we will qualify for booster shots because there are still people being vaccinated with the two regular doses. David and I are fully vaccinated but I doubt it will stop us getting Covid in the future but it may stop us dying from it hopefully.

Hope the booster keeps you safe.

@cwbill I hope so too.

Like your composition and the bright light!
October 7th, 2021
Good shot! Looks like a few of those boats have earned their rest.
