@elaine55 Thanks Elaine. Our club is very relaxed, we live out in woop woop, don't take life too seriously. Why wouldn't your judges not like you entering pelican or opera house photos. I'd get yourselves a new set of judges yours seem a bit anal to me. Sorry, shouldn't say that I suppose.
On another note, we collected our photos from Tanilba where they have been in an exhibition since the beginning of December. I had 4 photos in the exhibition and sold 3 and David had 4 in there too and sold 2. Quite pleased. Didn't expect that.
@onewing Wow Babs that's fantastic!! We do an exhibition in the local library every couple of years only for a couple of weeks but they aren't there for sale. Did you have prices on them? There was some talk the last time we did one but nothing came of anyone doing anything about it.
The judges say they are over those subjects and just aren't interested so we sort of know not to put them in. Last year we did a competition of Sydney Icons at night so they had to judge the Opera House.
@elaine55 Our annual exhibition photos are shown in our community centre each year after the exhibition and if anyone wants to buy them they get in touch with the photographer, but the Tanilba exhibition we all agreed a set price before the exhibition went up in case anybody wanted to buy, so Helen who owns Tanilba knew in advance.
@elaine55 No, we don't ask silly prices as we don't take ourselves too seriously and the people who put pictures in the Tanilba exhibition are all sensibile people and we all agreed what would be a not too silly price and stuck to it. We still have the option to print another photo once one is sold so it isn't like a painting.
@onewing That's great Babs but not sure whether it would work in ours as we have some people who are very precious over their photos. I used to sell my photos (cheaply I think) framed at a market.
